Worship at New Road Baptist Church is on the whole informal, open and inclusive. We follow a liturgy, or pattern of worship that begins with all ages together.
Following a time of worship together, the younger people leave for their own time of fun and learning in another part of the building.
Those remaining in the church hear a reflection, based on a reading from the Bible and delivered by the preacher.
Worship is participatory – others are encouraged, but not compelled to take part. We have different styles of music and a mix of traditional and modern songs and hymns.
Prayer is central to our worship and we like to spend some time thinking about and praying for each other and the world.
