Sunday 20 May United Service with other City Centre Churches for Pentecost
10:45 am at St Columba’s Church. The service will be led by the ecumenical youth group, with young people from each of the four churches and will be followed by a simple lunch and brief presentations from four charities involved with children and youth work:
- Home for Good, which supports vulnerable children in Oxford, including unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, particularly through adoption and fostering (https://www.homeforgood.org.uk/local-movements/oxfordshire/adoption)
- Nicodemus, whose mission is to meet the growing needs of marginalised young people both in the UK and in Latin America (https://www.nicodemuscharity.org.uk/copy-of-host)
- Viva, which connects local churches and grassroots organisations across 22 countries, and empowers them to bring change to the lives of children (http://www.viva.org/why-viva/)
- Thrive Barton, whose purpose is to develop young people and to bring hope and change to disadvantaged communities in Barton (http://thriveteams.org/teams/barton/).
